The new addition (temporary! TEMPORARY ADDITION!) to the house is settling in quite well. Besides being super cute, she has big soft ears. The resident dogs seem to still be waiting for her to go back from whence she came and are exceedingly tired, but guess what? THE HUMANS DON’T CARE BECAUSE THEY ARE TIRED.
Every evening before I go to bed, I take the various afghans lying around the room and pile them in a seemingly neat pile in the corner of the living room. By mid-morning, all afghans have been pulled to the center of the room by a certain cutie patootie little dog.
And you can’t get mad because if you do? You haven’t actually seen this a-doorbell dog pulling a king-size afghan across the room with her widdle mouf. Seriously. I’m sure if she actually ruined the blankets I would be irked, but she doesn’t. She nestles herself down on them, mouthing them a little while kneading the blankets with her paws like she’s suckling at her mama’s teat. (Yes I said teat.) Then? Then she FALLS ASLEEP. With the blanket still in her mouth.
If that doesn’t make your heart grow three times bigger then I am sorry for your dead soul.
